first thursday

quintana gallery

wouldn't you just love a bracelet like this?

this is the amazing totem in the window right now

tonight is first thursday here in portland's pearl district and there is a show at one of my favorite galleries, quintana gallery. once a year they hold their jewelry show when art quintana brings up his amazing collection of native american jewelry from gallup, new mexico. if you can't make it tonight, the event is running through the month of august. if you are a collector of native american jewelry, you don't want to miss this. the jewelry collection is made up of navajo, zuni and hopi handmade contemporary and pawn jewelry.

if you have never stopped by quintana gallery, check it out some time. they generally specialize in northwest coastal designs but occasionally have other collections in as well. it is an amazing gallery and my poor little photos don't do it justice. it is located at 120 nw 9th avenue 503.223.1729.
